[HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK]Seoul's premiere dance fest beginsThe country's most prestigious dance festival, the Seoul International Dance Festival, or SIDance, opens Monday.
Launched in 1998, the fest promotes cultural exchange through dance. This year's program includes workshops by Jean-Claude Gallotta and Inbal Pinto and performances by five local troupes, six foreign companies and two multinational projects. Performances are at the Seoul Arts Center, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts. SIDance runs to Oct. 24.
