[NEW FILMS]"The Adventures of Pluto Nash"

Comedy / 95 min. / English -- Opens today

It's the year 2087, and people are living on the moon in an enclave they call "Little America." Eddie Murphy is Pluto Nash, a reformed smuggler who now owns the moon's most popular hip-hop joint.

As a law-abiding nightclub owner -- perhaps a contradiction of terms -- Pluto resists the mob's attempts to turn his club into a casino. The mob puts surprisingly ineffective pressure on Pluto.

Pluto's allies in this $100-million movie that languished more than a year in post-production are the club's singer Dina Lake (Rosario Dawson) and a rusty robot (Randy Quaid).

Directed by Ron Underwood.
