Drama / 104 min. / Korean -- Now playing

Lee Ho-chang (Song Kang-ho), as a yangban noble in the early 20th century, is supposed to be a scholar, but he loves sports more than books. One day when he passes the YMCA field in downtown Seoul he sees some missionaries playing baseball.

He also sees Jung-rim (Kim Hye-soo), the daughter of a missionary family who spent many years in the West. Fascinated by this new sport and the girl, he takes up the strange game. Ho-chang, Jung-rim and a few others form a baseball team that is unexpectedly successful. As the Japanese are beginning to colonize the peninsula, the YMCA team challenges the Japanese army team to a game. Written and directed by Kim Hyeon-seok.
