[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Wants terms explained

I am a college student and recently subscribed to your newspaper, which helped me prepare for my college entrance examinations. I believe that the IHT will help me with my English. But I have an issue I would like to tell you about. I really like your newspaper, but some of the words are little too difficult for me to understand. It is not so much the words, but the English expressions. I can find the words individually and end up with an awkward translation. This is not for all the articles, but it is a frequent occurrence.
I thank the inserted English guide for some help, but wish you could explain some of the expressions.
