[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Smoke spoils a public pool
Published: 16 Aug. 2003, 00:03
I had an unpleasant experience at the Dduk-seok public swimming pool: too many smokers. Because the schools are on summer vacation, there were many children, and some pregnant women like myself. The smokers did not care.
I complained to a lifeguard, but he ignored me. I asked if there was a designated smoking area, but he simply replied “No. I don’t know.” Although it is an outdoor swimming pool, it is a public facility and smoking should be regulated.
