[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]More tickets than seats
Published: 21 Aug. 2003, 23:01
A few days ago my wife and I visited a TV studio to see a comedy program. Spectators were permitted to enter from 6 p.m. We arrived there at 5 p.m. and waited in line with about 100 other people. But the doors did not open even after 6 p.m. and an official at the TV station forced us to go home, saying “there are no more empty seats.”
People furiously asked how the seats could be occupied before the opening time. The official replied, “Because we handed out more admission tickets than the studio’s capacity.” I was really displeased at the clumsy attitude of the TV station. They should issue tickets on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
