&#91LETTERS TO THE EDITOR&#93Safety tips for Chuseok

This year’s Chuseok holiday is longer than usual, and many families are expected to travel. It is important for citizens to take measures to prevent theft before their trip. When leaving a house for a long time, newspaper and milk deliveries should be stopped. Cash, jewelry and other valuables should be stored at banks or police stations. TV, radio and lights with timers can be useful to suggest that the homes are not empty.
Neighbors often do not pay much attention to strangers in their area. It is also important to watch out for each other in the neighborhood.
