[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]UFC follows the rules
Your Sept. 9 article “Ultimate fight rights lead to violence” included some factual errors regarding Ultimate Fighting Championship events. First, you stated that UFC is an event with “few rules.” That is not true. UFC adheres to a strict rules policy governed by the states of Nevada and New Jersey (where UFC holds regular events) and is far less violent than standard boxing. Also, you stated that UFC is banned from national television in the United States. That’s not true at all. They just do not have TV clearance. They are not “banned” in any way, shape or form.
