[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]A donation refused
I am interested in the article on the difficulty in collecting blood by the Red Cross. Perhaps you can help me understand something.I’ve been a teacher here in Korea for four years and have on several occasions tried to donate my blood here because I had been doing it for more than 20 years back home in Canada. But my offer was refused. I assumed it was because I am a foreigner.
I presume that my blood can be screened just as well as Korean blood. Am I missing something?
