[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Dump is safe, needed

I was disappointed at the news that the government would reconsider the nuclear waste dump project. I have been working at a nuclear power plant for three years and have never heard of any worker in the last 20 years whose child was deformed. Nuclear facilities are strictly controlled. Nuclear waste facilities are much less dangerous than nuclear power plants; with proper safeguards, they are safe. Emotional reactions are not helpful for Korea’s future.
