Fresh Soy Hand Cream

Fresh puts a hip spin on hand and cuticle care with Soy Hand Cream, especially formulated for women. Soy benefits the skin’s elasticity and restoration and is rich in calcium, vitamins A, E and B and iron. The cute packaging contains a blend of soy proteins, soy milk powder, soy oil, mango butter, shea butter, ginseng and comfrey. The formula is rich enough to work into the elbow and knees. Cost is 39,000 won.


Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve

Kiehl’s offers several formulas for hand care. Ultimate Strength Hand Salve is coming out in December, just in time for the winter chill. The lotion targets people who are constantly using their hands (think outdoor adventurers, chefs and gardeners), and those with extremely dry skin. Avocado oil and sesame oil help moisturize the skin. Cost is not available yet.


Origins Handle With Care

Since the launch of Origins more than 10 years ago, the company has tried to introduce products that do not do use animal-derived ingredients. Handle With Care follows this policy with sage and rice bran oil to moisturize dry skin. Aloe is also used to nourish and protect skin. Cost is 18,000 won.


H2O Spa Hand and Nail Cream

H2O Spa Hand and Nail Cream is a lightweight formula that quickly absorbs into the skin. The formula is made up of vitamins, marine extracts, aloe vera and panthenol. Silk protein and vitamin E nourish nails and cuticles. Smells slightly like baby powder. Cost is 9,000 won for a small tube.


Sisley Botanical Hand Cream

Sisley’s Botanical Hand Cream has a lightweight formula that helps keep hands supple. One of the key ingredients is harpagophytum, a plant native to South Africa and used by traditional healers. Contains additional natural plant extracts such as chamomile. Cost is 60,000 won.


Aveda Hand Relief

Aveda Hand Relief lotion partners with Cuticle Control to increase moisture and elasticity in skin. Aveda uses natural ingredients, including hydrating plant emollients, humectants, exfoliating fruit acids and anti-oxidants. Vitamins A and E help diminish signs of aging. The lotion has a rejuvenating citrus scent. Cost is 35,000 won.


Vichy Lipidiose Hands

Vichy’s answer to chapped hands is Lipidiose Hands. The research team formulated a complex of active ingredients called Pro-Fybril, which combines vitamin A and acexamic acid to stimulate skin renewal. Vichy tested its new Lipidiose for hands on 33 medical professionals who liked its rapid penetration and non-oily feel. Testing was also done in the extreme climate of Finland. Cost is 15,000 won.
