It was appalling to read “Student group promises to hound Pentagon delegation during visit” carried in last Saturday’s issue.
I agree! If the Korean people do not want the United States in their country, we should pull out. Let the Korean students who are protesting the U.S. presence in their country take the place of the American soldiers now in positions near the DMZ. The last time I checked, though, most Korean students were too busy getting tattooed so they could avoid military service to their country.
Perhaps they should make a visit to the North side of the DMZ so they could take a good look at what life would be like for them if the U.S. soldiers were not there; that is exactly what it would look like.
