[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Phone spam must stop

I was happy to read the article on the fight against advertising messages sent to cell phones under the headline, “New limits on cell phone spam.” (Dec. 11)
Cell phone spam is as serious as e-mail spam; It is irritating because it is sent at all hours. Once, it even woke me in the middle of the night.
Sometimes there are numbers at the bottom of the message so you can try to block them from coming again. But it never seems to work. I hope that the effort to stop the spam mails from being sent eventually succeeds.
