[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Don’t drive to the party this year

I have read the article “Drinkers snared in police web,” by Lee Chul-jae. It was about Korean drunken drivers.
During winter, especially in Korea, there are many gatherings that feature alcoholic drinks like soju and beer. In particular, there are parties to celebrate the end of the year, so people drink lots of alcohol. Drinking alcohol can be good for people because it makes you relaxed and relieves stress, but the bad thing is that if you bring your car, you have a problem.
The article said 96 people were caught by the police between 5 and 7 o’clock in the morning.
It’s hard for people to go home by subway, buses and taxis if they have their own car but have been drinking. So I think that if there is a party with alcohol, everybody should leave their cars at home so they and everyone else will be safe.
