[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Ducks photo ‘nightmare’

The Dec. 22 edition of the JoongAng Daily carries a front page report about bird flu. Your coverage includes a photograph of workers interring infected ducks. The caption reads that they are being buried alive. Is this a must? You not only show the scene but also tell readers the animals are being buried alive.
Why do you have to give this “nightmare information” to the readers? Is it really necessary? Imagine if you were buried alive . . . .
Could you please provide me with information about this situation and why the animals have to be buried alive. What is the reason for this criminal act?
