[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Dangerous drivers

A few days ago, I witnessed a dangerous scene while I was driving. A small scooter was passing noisily through the intersection along with other cars, with a cloud of fumes trailing behind. However, a small boy who appeared to be the driver’s son was sitting at his feet and hanging on to the driver’s seat.
To my knowledge, scooters are only allowed to drive up to 30 km/hour. Unlike regular motorcycles, they are small and have small wheels. The driver was racing through the crowded intersection with a child and took no safety measures. He put not only himself and his child in danger, but also other cars.
The National Police Agency statistics show that 15.1 percent of all traffic accidents involve motorcycles. Police must strengthen regulations on motorcycles, but even more so, drivers should think about safety.
