[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Please be quiet

As I live in Chuncheon in Gangwon province and work in Seoul, I have to commute from Chuncheon to Seoul by train almost everyday. During the train ride, I have been distressed at college students’ nuisance, especially on the weekends. I can tolerate their hustle and bustle, but I can’t endure their loud singing on the train.
Though train officials request those students to be quiet, they won’t listen. Passengers who cannot bear the noise stand up to admonish them. But the students grow loud again a few moments later. Some students blatantly ignore the request.
I understand that students would be excited about their group excursion. But not creating a disturbance in the public place is part of basic etiquette. The youngsters should take others into consideration.
