[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Contesting a will
In the Dec. 3 issue of your paper, I read that a rich man left his entire estate to Yonsei University in a handwritten will. His family, however, went to court because the will was not signed and sealed. They posed questions on its legal standing. I had no idea that wills had to be signed and sealed to be legal. I’m sure that if that man had known, he would have signed his will, since he even took precautions to place it in a bank safety deposit box.I cannot believe that people are trying to “measure” the dead man’s will with the law.
