[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Angry and disappointed at ‘boy toy’ and racial articles

I’ve been angered and disappointed by some articles you printed recently. A short time ago you printed an article about “boy toys.” In that article, you basically stated that any time a man is younger than his girlfriend or wife, he becomes a “boy toy” for the woman. What about love? Where does that come in? Can two people not fall in love regardless of a few years’ age difference?
Today I read your article about biracial entertainers and I was surprised that you would print such an article. Don’t get me wrong; I’m glad that Korean society is opening up. But this article just goes to show that people who are not 100-percent Korean are treated as abnormal or unusual and does nothing to help eliminate this image.
It is time to stop reinforcing old stereotypes and prejudices and move on to a point where all people are just people regardless of their age or cultural and ethnic background.
