[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Self-defeating campaign
It was just before 7 a.m. a few days ago when loud music woke me up.My infant daughter began to cry at the noise. My wife had to soothe the crying child. Looking through the window, I saw that the music was a campaign song coming from a truck to promote a candidate who was running for office in our electoral district.
I thought it was noise, not a song. I thought the music would stop in a few minutes, but it kept blaring for an hour without any consideration for residents here.
As Korea’s workplaces change, there are many people who have to work late at night or until dawn and need time to sleep late in the morning.
Campaigners who want to be elected should stop making such a racket in the morning.
