[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Noise pollution abounding

I am sitting in my home on this beautiful April day, and once again the peace is shattered by a disgustingly loud truck vendor going slowly down the street.
Why are these vendors allowed to record the ugliest noise they can produce, and then blare it at any volume they want in every neighborhood in the city? Is there anyone to contact that can force them to stop this or at least lower the sound to a reasonable volume?
Whatever they are selling, this is an absolutely pathetic method for doing it. I would appreciate any information that could help change this situation. The noise will continue daily from now through November ― it is the ugliest part of trying to live in Seoul.
