[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Charity for disabled canceled

I am writing in response to your article, “Political chiefs unite for Buddha’s day” (May 27). I was disappointed that you didn’t mention what event didn’t happen at Jogye Temple on Buddha’s day.
Because of the politicians’ visit to the temple, a volunteer charity event for handicapped children was canceled. The event was set up by people of the Buddhist faith to sell handmade religious and souvenir items to raise money for the children. The event could have easily raised a lot of money that day, but instead they were bullied out so that a few politicians could get their picture in the paper. Your article would have been more complete and less biased if you had included this.
