[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Kim betrayed his country
As a Korean citizen with experience living in the States, I am deeply troubled by the recent Korean media coverage of Richard Kim, portraying him both as a victim and a patriot. But a patriot to whom? His allegiance should have been exclusively to the country of his sworn citizenship, not to the country whose citizenship he relinquished. As a result of his imprudent act, it will be the Korean-Americans who ultimately have to deal with unwarranted suspicion and questioning of where their loyalties lie. An U.S. citizen broke U.S. law, and was subsequently punished by the authorities. End of story.by D. R. Kim
