[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]A world of relationshipsI was impressed to read the article “A 'Korean wave' in Japan,” carried on June 25. It is most interesting to me (an American living in Helsinki, Finland) to read about these relationship effects.
My father lived in Japan before he married my mother (both American --British and Dutch heritage) and my father and older brother have each lived in Korea.
I have also enjoyed many friendships with individuals from around the world. My Korean friend, who teaches Korean in Helsinki, let me borrow the “Winter Sonata” DVD while she is away for the summer. I plan to share it this weekend with two Chinese friends and a Finn.
