[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Not-so-inadvertent clashes

I notice that the South Korean English-language press continues in its naive use of the euphemism “inadvertent clashes.” Am I the only one who actually believes that the Yellow Sea incidents were nothing but ambushes cold-bloodedly planned and executed by the North?
This latest revision to procedures will do little more than increase the ROK Navy’s casualties in the next “regrettable accident.” I wonder which high-level official will make the eulogy at the ensuing funerals, and what justifications for this policy will be given to the bereaved families.
