[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Westerner loves ‘Sonata’

I write in reference to your Tuesday article, “Star power, not fashion propels Dior premiere.” I am a Westerner and I absolutely loved “Winter Sonata” and everything about it. I gave it to my sister and her husband to watch. They were captivated by it. I think you underestimate Westerners’ ability to appreciate such a wonderful film on all levels. In fact, I have subsequently watched a number of Korean mini-series, and actually feel like I have discovered something unique and wonderful, thanks to a Korean friend who introduced them to me.
