[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Next attack unknown

This is in reference to your editorial, “Vigilance against terror,” carried on Saturday. The world has been threatened for a long time by terrorism. Since the Sept. 11 terror attacks in the United States, the world has become serious about security. As you mentioned, most countries in the world have increased their budget for self-protection. However, another terror attack was committed in London on Thursday.
The world should work harder to eliminate terrorism. The human rights of many people are interrupted by terrorists, and they again took the lives of innocent people in London. No one had the right to murder them. What the terrorists did was a barbaric crime.
The next target is unknown. The reason London was attacked this time was for Britain’s involvement in the war in Iraq and invasion of Afghanistan. South Korea has deployed 3,500 troops to Iraq. No one knows if South Korea could be the next target. Also, the “Secret Group of Al Qaeda’s Jihad in Europe” has threatened it will begin similar attacks. Even though London was one of the cities thought to be a target of terrorists, these attacks could not be prevented. This shows that the efforts people made for anti-terrorism are not enough to protect the world yet. More effort is required.
