Six divas of romance heat up Valentine’s Day

테스트

It’s that time of the year again. On the streets, pairs of lovers walk hand in hand carrying chocolates and flowers in oversized wrapping paper, while singles know they better go home early before they feel miserable. It’s almost Valentine’s Day.
On the day made for couples in love, a special concert will let them know that this day is for them to forever celebrate. It will be full of romantic events such as selecting the most photogenic couple who look most in love.
Of course, singles are allowed to attend the concert if they are brave enough to endure the cute dress code ― dating couples are recommended to wear identical or matching outfits.
Still, singles should have enough reason to come to the event ― six of Korea’s best female R&B singers will be on stage together. The show is headlined by Seo Young-eun, a jazz vocalist turned pop diva who gained popularity from doing movie soundtracks, and Park Hwa Yo Bi, who Koreans liken to Mariah Carey.
Others include Maya, a boyish rock singer with a powerful voice; Leeds and Lisa, K-pop ballad singers, and BMK, an R&B vocalist who has worked with big hip-hop names such as Kim Jin-pyo and Leessang.
The concert is titled “12 Memories of Love,” which is also the name of a new album jointly released by the six women singing on the theme of what love is. In Ms. Seo’s opinion, “love is like learning to wait,” and singing songs about women in love. Park Hwa Yo Bi says, “love is trusting a person.”
