During Korea’s period under Japanese colonial rule in the 1940s, the Japanese government is secretly looking for a mysterious diamond called "The Holy Light from the East." The mystical diamond, rumored to be 1,000 years old, is believed to have priceless value. As Japanese agents try to find the elusive diamond, two Korean swindlers, Bong-gu (Park Yong-bae) and Chun-ja (Lee Bo-young), plan to get their hands on the diamond instead. Although Bon-gu tries to team up with Chun-ja, she’s more interested in keeping the jewel for herself, and she’s not interested in sharing.
