DAEHANGNO ART MADANG
From June 6: “Shear Madness.” One of the longest-running American plays is back in Seoul after its successful 2006 run. Those interested in detective stories might enjoy this who-done-it set in a hair salon. But what makes this play unique is that the ending is different every night as audience members solve the crime themselves, by listening for clues, and questioning the characters during the performance.
The story of the play is the same as the original, which opened in Boston in 1980. The lines of the characters have been tweaked a little, however, to suit Korean audiences. The play will be directed by Byun Jeong-joo, known for “Come to See Me,” and “Koreans.”
Tickets for the show are 20,000 won.
The show will be staged at 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday, 4 and 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 3 and 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays. There are no shows on Mondays.

To broaden the musical’s appeal, popular songs such as Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” and Jaurim’s “HaHaHa Song” have been added.
