A Gentle Breeze in the Village (Tennen Kokekko) (G)

In a small town of Shimane, Soyo Migita (Kaho) attends a school with five other students. One day, a new student from Tokyo, Hiromi Osawa (Masaki Okada), transfers to this little school. Coming from such a large city, Hiromi becomes the center of attention.

Additionally, Hiromi’s nice first impression leads all the girls, including Soyo, on a mission to grab his utmost attention, thus causing minor fissures among themselves.

The film depicts the benefits of living in a simple life in the rural area and the pure and untainted minds of the teenage kids.



Shaolin Girl (12)

In hopes of restoring and spreading Chinese martial arts, Lyn (Sibasaki Kou) returns from her Shaolin school to her hometown. Unfortunately, she immediately faces a number of obstacles. The gym that her grandfather used to own has fallen into ruin and her old master has given up the life of a fighter and started a Chinese restaurant.

But Lyn simply cannot give up, so she begins to learn lacrosse and starts to incorporate her martial arts moves into the sport.

With the help of her team members, Lyn begins to make her dream become a reality. But little does she know that the dark forces, led by Oba (Toru Nakamura), plan to thwart her moves.



100 Feet (15)

To defend herself from her violent New York City cop husband, Mike (Michael Pare), Marnie Watson (Famke Janssen) ultimately commits manslaughter. Lucky or not, she is granted an early release from prison, but must wear an electronic ankle bracelet and remain under house arrest for the rest of her sentence. This means she can only move in a 100-foot radius.

But in her confinement, Marnie encounters her worst nightmare: Someone inside her house is poses a serious threat to her safety.

The mystery man turns out to be someone that Marnie knows all too well, and she must confront him with all she can to stay alive.



Nim’s Island (PG)

On a beautiful secluded island lives Nim (Abigail Breslin), an imaginative little girl and her research scientist father Jack Rusoe (Gerard Butler).

Nim is quite independent and a huge fan of Alex Rover, the imaginary protagonist of a book series. One day when Jack goes on a research trip, a terrible storm hits the island and Jack becomes lost at sea. Nim decides to send an e-mail to Alex Rover for help, not knowing that the receiver is Alexandra Rover (Jodie Foster), the author of the Rover books.

Unfortunately, Alexandra is agoraphobic and never leaves her house. But she decides to listen to her will and takes a giant step to embark on an adventure, all to help her biggest fan Nim and save Jack’s life.



Space Chimps (G)

Animation, Adventure / 81 min. / English

Ham III (Andy Samberg) is sent off to space for a mission to find a lost spaceship.

The fun-loving chimp is the grandson of the first chimp astronaut but shows no desire to become a space hero.

To everyone’s dismay, the crew, which includes the fearless St. Luna (Cheryl Hines) and an uptight commander, get stranded on a strange planet.

Regardless of Ham III’s fickle nature, he grows serious when he finds out that the nefarious Zartog (Jeff Daniels) is planning to take over the innocent planet that he and his crew are stranded on.

With his crew’s help, Ham III begins to find his courageous side and must find a way to fight against Zartog and return safely to Earth.



Etz Limon (12)

A Palestinian widow Salma (Hiam Abbass) meets a new neighbor who moves in opposite her lemon grove. He just so happens to be the Israeli defense minister (Doron Tavory). The Israeli security forces order Salma’s trees to be uprooted, claiming they pose a threat to the minister’s safety. Salma’s affection for her lemon trees leads her all the way to the Israeli Supreme Court to fight for her trees. Her story intrigues the defense minister’s wife, Mira (Rona Lipaz-Michael) and thewomen develop a tight bond despite the border between them.



Delirious (15)

Drama, Comedy / 107 min. / English

Les (Steve Buscemi) is a paparazzi who hires homless actor Toby (Michael Pitt) as his new assistant in New York.

Toby becomes obsessed with a pop singer named K’Harma (Alison Lohman), and later hooks up with a movie agent named Dana (Gina Gershon). Toby’s obsession with K’Harma later leads him to break off his relationship with Dana.

While Les and Toby work together, Toby becomes aware of the increasing control Les exerts over his life. Toby moves out of Les’s apartment and starts on his own adventure involving celebrities and the meaning of being in the spotlight.
