If you were planning to attend the “Summer Breeze 2008” rock festival scheduled for next Thursday and Friday, forget it.

The gigs have been canceled because of extremely lackluster ticket sales, according to B4H Entertainment, the company in charge of the festival.

“Less than 500 tickets have been sold as of July 24,” the entertainment company announced Monday. “All tickets will be reimbursed.”

Top acts including The Prodigy, Simple Plan, New Found Glory and Stacie Orrico were slated to appear at the festival.

‘Singing in the Rain’ makes a splash in Tokyo

The Korean musical “Singing in the Rain” has debuted in Japan.

The show got its first staging in the capital last Saturday with local performers Hajime Komada, Ikusaburo Yamazaki and Natsuki Harada taking the main roles.

The plot revolves around two brothers who lost their parents when they were kids, and the story’s got nothing to do with the 1952 Gene Kelly movie of the same name, if you were wondering.

Singing in the Rain has enjoyed a lengthy run in Korea, notching up hundreds of performances over the past 13 years.

After the premiere at Theater Tram, the original Korean cast, including Uhm Ki-joon, Kim Moo-yeol and Yoo Soo-young, took a bow on stage.

The musical will run in Tokyo until Aug. 17. Tickets cost 6,000 yen ($55.90).
