Bloody Island (15)

The worst kinds of juvenile delinquents are at Moorgate Reformatory. One day a kid who didn’t get along well with others is found dead and as punishment, the kids are exiled to a deserted island.

Even this punishment does not scare the kids, as they have dealt with all sorts of hardships in life before.

As they start to think that it’s merely a camping trip, a mysterious shadow starts a brutal manhunt. The twisted survival game has begun on this bloody island.



Let the Right One In (R)

The film takes place in the Stockholm suburb of Blackberg in 1092.

A 12-year old named Oskar (Kare Hedebrant) is a lonely little boy who gets bullied easily at school. He dreams of a companion and revenge against the school kids.

His wish starts to come true as a mysterious girl named Eli (Lina Leandersson) moves into his neighborhood. Meanwhile, the town struggles as dead bodies start to appear.

Eli helps Oskar gain strength to strike back against the bullies, and in return, Oskar finds out a dark secret of his one and only friend. He questions how much love can forgive.



Nightmare Detective (15)

A cool and brilliant police detective, Keiko Kirishima (Hitomi), is out to solve the mystery of two suicide cases. She starts out with a single clue that both victims pressed the number “0” on their cell phones right before they died.

To dig deeper into the case, Kirishima calls Tantei Akumu (Ryuhei Matsuda) for help. Also known as the Nightmare Detective, Akumu is a depressed young man who has the ability to enter people’s dreams.

When Akumu declines the detective’s request out of fear, Kirishima has only one choice left - to press the death number “0” herself.



The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (12)

It has been more than 2,000 years since Emperor Han (Jet Li) and his 10,000 warriors were entombed in clay and became a terra-cotta army, thanks to a double-crossing sorceress (Michelle Yeoh).

The O’Connells, a pair of explorers, are called to help the Shanghai Archaeology Museum and accidentally find the long-forgotten ruins of the empire. The family is once again thrown into danger when Rick’s bold son Alex (Luke Ford) awakens the emperor from his slumber.

Awake and now furious, the emperor threatens the world in his quest for world domination. Young Alex seeks help from his parents, the only ones who can put up a fight against the dead.



Boot Camp (15)

Sophie (Mila Kunis) is living at the peak of her rebellious adolescent life and is afraid of nothing. Having had enough of her, her stepfather sends her away to a remote island camp in Fiji.

Upon Sophie’s arrival, she learns that the kids in the island were all dragged there by their parents for similar reasons.

She sees that the angry and frustrated teenagers at the camp must work hard in hopes of becoming good citizens of society.

But what was understood by Sophie’s parents as a scenic place to scare her straight turns out to be a hellish boot camp. The camp starts to take a questionable turn as the training becomes more than the teens can handle, including abuse and brainwashing.



The Last Mistress (R)

Marigny (Fu’ad Ait Aattou) has all that it takes to be a true French socialite casanova: intoxicating looks and extraordinary talent in art.

As he faces marriage into the royal family of Hermangarde, he decides to put an end to his relationship with his mistress, a Spanish dancer named Vellini (Asia Argento).

As the wedding nears and members of the Hermangarde family express their doubts about Marigny, an elder member of the family strongly encourages the match while asking Marigny about his past with Vellini.

After a splendid wedding, Marigny and his new wife leave Paris to enjoy a peaceful life in a quiet beach town - that is, until an appearance by Vellini foils their happiness.



The U.S. vs. John Lennon (12)

Documentary, Biography / 97 min. / English

This movie depicts the life of a legendary member of The Beatles, John Lennon.

When the Beatles broke up in 1970, John Lennon did not return to the stage immediately, but became an activist in that turbulent time. Lennon spoke his mind both during and after the Vietnam War, especially with his song “Give Peace a Chance.”

The movie is made up of archival footage and contains interviews with people close to him, including his wife, Yoko Ono; former New York governor Mario Cuomo; and even G. Gordon Liddy - a former chief operative of President Richard Nixon.
