‘My Sassy Girl’ star takes a bite at the big time in new vampire flick

Korean actress Jeon Ji-hyun is gearing up for a blood fest.

She’s waiting for her film “Blood: The Last Vampire” to be released in Hollywood next March. She’s even given herself an English name, Giana, which she thinks Western people will find easier to pronounce than her real name.

The action thriller, directed by Chris Nahon, is based on Mamoru Oshii’s animation of the same name. Jeon stars as Saya, a vampire, who chases after demons. The actress starred in “My Sassy Girl” (2001) and “Daisy” (2006).
