[TALK OF THE TOWN]Cruise makes 4th trip to Korea to promote “Valkyrie”

Tom Cruise is coming to town to promote the upcoming thriller, “Valkyrie,” to be released on Jan. 22 in Korea. Chris Lee, the film’s executive producer, said at a press conference last Wednesday Bryan Singer, the film’s director, will also visit the country in mid-January.

While it’s Singer’s first time in Korea, it’s Cruise’s fourth - he came here to promote “Interview with the Vampire” in 1994, “Mission: Impossible II” in 2000 and “Vanilla Sky” in 2001.

Valkyrie is a history film about German army officers trying to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Cruise plays Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, the rebel group leader.
