[TALK OF THE TOWN]Park Shin-yang made a pariah with production firms after fee dispute
The Korea Television Drama Production Company Association last Friday voted to ban actor Park Shin-yang from appearing in any more dramas produced by its 30 member firms. The reason for banning Park, 40, dates back to last July when he appeared in the hit television drama, “War of Money.” Upon its success, Lee-Kim Production decided to air four more episodes. Park asked for 170 million won ($116,000) per episode.
But the production company could only afford to pay half and Park filed a lawsuit for the rest.
