Fatal fire
Seven workers died in a fire at a warehouse in Icheon, Gyeonggi on Dec. 5. The fire broke out at around noon at the logistics center of GS Retail. Firefighters had a hard time entering the burning building as strong winds fueled the flames. They managed to get the fire under control 3 hours and 35 minutes later. According to the fire department, 21 workers were in the basement at the time of the fire. Some managed to escape. The two-story warehouse was leveled by the blaze. [YONHAP]
