[LETTERS]Excellent English

I lived in Seoul for several years, and I always enjoyed reading the English edition of your newspaper. I am now living again in the U.S., but I continue to follow Korean news via your online edition.

One English word that I have noticed being incorrectly used is the word “airliner” in reference to a company such as Asiana or Korean Air. The company is an airline; the plane or jet is an airliner. This may seem insignificant, but paying attention to the little things are what distinguish between good English and excellent English.

Of all the online Korean dailies that I read, I believe yours is the best. The JoongAng Ilbo always delivers relevant and thorough coverage of the events going on in Korea. Keep up the good work!
