[TALK OF THE TOWN]Unhappy tales from childhood make for invites to European film festivals

Yang Ik-june must be on cloud nine. His short film, “Breathless” has received attention from international film festivals, including the 32nd Goteborg International Film Festival, the biggest film festival in Scandinavia.

It also got the call from the 38th Netherlands Rotterdam Film Festival.

Goteborg kicks off this Friday and Rotterdam, today.

In the film, Yang stars as main character Sang-hoon, a gangster who falls in love with Yeon-hee (Kim Kkot-bi).

The two get closer by sharing memories of their unhappy childhoods.
