Tideland (15)

In this darkly comic tale, an 11-year-old girl, Jeliza-Rose (Jodelle Ferland), looks after her drug-addicted parents instead of going to school. A fantasist, she fills her free time reading “Alice in Wonderland” and playing with the heads of disembodied dolls. But after her mother overdoses, she and her father Noah (Jeff Bridges) move to her grandmother’s abandoned wreck of a house. There, Jeliza-Rose uncovers a mysterious ghost and a pirate who reveals a clue to a family secret.



Balls of Fury (15)

Enter the world of extreme ping-pong. Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler), a former table tennis prodigy and now one of life’s dropouts, is recruited by CIA agent Ernie Rodriguez for a secret mission. He’s dispatched to help bring down Feng (Christopher Walken), the arch criminal who caused his father’s death, by entering a cutthroat competition. Two decades out of the game, Randy’s rusty so he begins training with legendary ping-pong player Wong (James Hong) before he takes on Feng, practicing his skills on a deadly training course. Randy’s odyssey takes him to Feng’s secret hideout where he eventually takes on his nemesis and tries to avenge his father’s murder.



King of the Hill (18)

Quim (Leonardo Sbaraglia) is driving in a remote forest when he finds himself lost. Struggling to find a way out, he meets Bea (Maria Valverde), who also seems lost. Despite their geographic confusion, they hunker down for a steamy encounter until their rummagings are interrupted by gunshots. Not knowing if they are the target and fearing for their lives, they hide out in the woods and wait as the mysterious sniper gets closer.



Reservation Road (12)

The lives of Ethan Learner (Joaquin Phoenix) and his wife Emma (Jennifer Connelly) are torn apart when their son Josh (Sean Curly) is killed after a cello recital in a hit-and-run at a gas station on Reservation Road. The driver, Dwight Arno (Mark Ruffalo), is driving his son Lucas (Eddie Alderson) back to his ex-wife after a Red Sox game. In a panic after striking Josh, Dwight drives off. A lawyer by trade, he conceals his car from the prying eyes of investigating cops, and the case eventually goes cold. Consumed with guilt, especially after Ethan shows up at his office seeking legal counsel in dealing with his son’s death, Dwight prepares to turn himself in and lose the love of his son.



Alpha Dog (18)

Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) is an 18-year-old ready to succeed his father (Bruce Willis) as an underworld business figure. He hangs out with his own posse, including Frankie (Justin Timberlake), and sells drugs for a living. When Truelove’s client Jake Mazursky (Ben Foster) fails to pay off his debts, Truelove kidnaps his 15-year-old brother, Zack (Anton Yelchin). Meanwhile, while Frankie builds a friendship with Zack, Jake plots a sinister revenge. In the ricochet of attacks between them, Truelove finds himself in greater danger than he had ever thought possible. He had thought himself the toughest man on the streets, but now he hides in order to avoid the new underworld threat.



Inkheart (All)

While these characters escape from the pages, Mo’s wife vanishes into the book that Capricorn’s army then take. Mo and his daughter, Meggie (Eliza Bennett), embark on a quest to find Inkheart, and thus his wife. During the journey, he learns of Capricorn’s plan to destroy the world by bringing Shadow, the evil one, to life. What will Mo do to return them into the story?



Changeling (18)

This movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, is based on a true story.

In 1928, Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie), a single mother living in Los Angeles, returns from work to find that her only son, Walter, is missing. As the LA Police Department bungles the case, Christine worries herself sick over the next five months until the police say they’ve found Walter.

The police have in fact found a boy, but it’s not Walter - this is all too evident to Christine once she sets eyes on the changeling. But when Christine voices her doubts about the fake Walter, the police are quick to label her insane.

With the assistance of a local clergy, Gustav Brigleb (John Malkovich), Christine seeks to prove her sanity and find her real son.



Tokyo Marble Chocolate (All)

Udai’s (Takahiro Sakurai) gentle but timid personality has never helped him romantically. Chizru (Nana Mizuki) is cute but is prone to mishaps. In this light, Udai and Chizru maintain their relationship not as lovers but as friends. When Udai decides to propose to her, Chizru also sets up a special proposal for him. They each prepare gifts and meet at the Marble Cafe. However, Udai’s present causes a misunderstanding and Chizru’s gift is lost. What are their presents and what will be the outcome of their proposals?
