[Letters] Crackdown on gullible parents

The spate of articles and letters concerning hagwon, or private education institutes, all have as subtext the idea that parents are spending too much money on education.

I would like to see an expose on overseas education centers, or yuhagwon, that charge egregious fees to gullible parents.

Most “educational consultants” merely show school catalogues, inform parents of test dates, and translate or write the students’ application essays. Fees in Gangnam rise to 1 million won ($786) per school application, or higher.
