[Talk of the town] Call it a comeback

Yoon Jeong-hee, Korea’s iconic actress from the 1960s, is returning to the big screen after a 15-year hiatus.

The 65-year-old actress has been cast as the leading lady in director Lee Chang-dong’s upcoming film “Poetry.”

She will play a grandmother who works as a maid to support her grandson while striving to accomplish her lifelong dream of writing poetry.

Yoon starred in numerous box office hits in the 1960s, but her last appearance as an actress was way back in 1994 in the film “Manmubang.”

Poetry, the fifth film of internationally acclaimed director Lee, is scheduled to be released in May 2010.
