Participants in a campaign to raise awareness about the pitfalls of gambling rip up oversized Korean playing cards, called hwatu, and Western playing cards, yesterday in Hyehwa-dong, central Seoul. The Gambling Prevention and Cure Center under the National Gaming Control Commission will promote ways to prevent gambling addiction in a new initiative starting this week. [YONHAP]
