The Ansan Migrant Community Service Center recently announced that it will host a family reunion event for 18 exemplary foreign workers at the Banwol Shihwa Industrial Complex.
As part of the plan, 32 people from 11 different countries who are related to foreigners working at the industrial complex have been invited to visit the country from Thursday through Sunday.
Among the exemplary workers - who were selected based on recommendations from their employers - is Koga Sayuri, a 44-year-old Japanese woman who came to Korea 15 years ago after marrying a Korean man.
She was awarded the prize after diligently working as a Japanese teacher at the community center.
The invited families will get a chance to check out the offices or plants where their loved ones work.
They also will get to visit numerous tourist attractions in Seoul such as 63City, Deoksu Palace and Cheonggye Stream.
Additionally, there will be a traditional Korean wedding ceremony arranged for two couples at the Ansan Etiquette Education Center. IBK Industrial Bank and the Ansan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will support the event by providing airline tickets.
