Kim Ha-na of North Gyeongsang became the first sprinter in the history of the National Athletics Competition to win its MVP honor. Kim, 24, who won four golds and set two domestic records in Daejeon, was given the award on the final day of competition yesterday. She won gold in the 100m, 200m and 1,600m races and the 400m relay and set Korean records in the 200m individual sprint and 400m relay. Even more impressive is that Kim recently made the switch to sprint events from the long jump. [YONHAP]
