Hyundai E&C’s profit slides in third quarter
Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Korea’s biggest construction firm, said Tuesday its third-quarter net profit fell 16.8 percent from a year ago as the economic slump dampened orders for new apartments. Hyundai earned 103.5 billion won ($87.3 million) in the quarter. Operating profit, however, rose 3 percent from a year ago to 126.2 billion won, while sales jumped nearly 30 percent. Yonhap
