Korea looks for gold

Korea will be aiming to win its first gold medal at the Sambo World Championships to be held from Nov. 5 to 9 in Greece. The Korea Sambo Federation has announced it will send Kim Kwang-seob and Lee Hyun-bae to represent the country.

Although Korea has been competing in the world championships since 2003, it has failed to win any medals so far. Kim will be competing in the 68 kilograms (150 pounds) division and Lee in the 74 kilogram division. Both athletes are projected to have enough potential to reach the podium. Sambo derived from judo and various forms of wrestling. Yonhap
