The Actresses (12)

Drama / 104 / Korean

Six actresses from different generations come together for a fashion magazine shoot on Christmas Eve.

The actresses, who are accustomed to having the spotlight all to themselves, must now work together, but can they?

Tension, insecurities, and jealousy all start to develop among these actresses, who are all playing themselves in the film, which is a mixture of fact and fiction.

In the film, we see Yoon Yeo-jeong wonder if she is a last-minute replacement; Choi Ji-woo arrives late and receives an icy glare from Ko Hyeon-jeong; and Kim Ok-vin admires Kim Min-hee’s outfit, but can’t fit into her dress.

Drama / 122 / English

Based on two true stories, “Julie & Julia” intermingles the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, both face challenges until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible.

The cooking expertise of the late Julia Child has had a resurgence in popularity thanks to director-screenwriter Nora Ephron’s comedy, which merges two stories in recalling the legend of Child (played brilliantly, as usual, by Meryl Streep) and its influence on a modern blogger (Amy Adams), who aims to re-create all the recipes in Child’s book “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”

Darby’s partner, Rupert Ames (Josh Stewart), gets the death penalty. After 10 years, Darby is released from prison, but he soon ends up dead. Shelton is arrested and admits to Rice that he did it. Later, Shelton is put in jail, but he warns Rice that he must fix the broken justice system that failed him and his family or else anyone connected to his case will die. Even from jail, Shelton’s threats become a reality, and Rice must stop Shelton before his family is next.

Tension, shock, and surprise overtakes the friends as they recall their relationships with Yeong-hee.

New Moon (12)

Drama, Fantasy, Thriller, Romance / 130 / English
