Heavy with medals, Korea’s Olympians come home
Gold medalist figure skater Kim Yu-na, carrying the Korean flag, led the athletes, coaches and Korean Olympic Committee officials out of the arrival gate at Incheon International Airport. A large group of family members and fans made a lot of noise as the Olympic delegation walked through the gate. Among the large turnout were approximately 300 members of the press looking to speak to the athletes.
After 40 minutes of interviews, the speed skating, short-track speed skating and bobsleigh team members made their way to the National Training Center in Taeneung, northern Seoul. The remaining athletes went home with their families.
