Im Hak-soo drops out of biathalon event

Biathlon and cross-country skier Im Hak-soo has decided to pull out of the 12.5-kilometer biathlon visually impaired event scheduled to take place today, Korean time. Instead, the 21-year-old will concentrate on the 10-kilometer cross-country visually impaired event and 1-kilometer cross-country pursuit events.

The Korean ice sledge hockey team managed to score its first goal of the Olympics in a preliminary match against Czech Republic but lost 2-4 at the UBC Thunderbird Arena in Vancouver yesterday. Both goals came in the third period with the team down by four.

Competing in the Paralympics for the first time, Korea lost all three of its preliminary group games to the United States, Japan and Czech Republic. Korea will play in its final classification match against Sweden today.
